I need to write journals more often.

Idgaf right now if the title's too long to fit in the box. Okay, first off, the cooling mat for my laptop has been making unhealthy noises so I'm not risking using it, meaning I can't use my laptop. Technically, I could just use my laptop anyway, but that would mean having to endure the torture of having it spontaneously shut down every hour on the hour. So I'm leaving it until Monday, which is when my mum gets paid. If I'm not back by Wednesday at the latest, assume that something has gone horribly wrong with my epic immunity and I'm either in bed, at hospital or at the crematorium waiting to become charcoal.

Uh, I guess since I can't go on the internet as much in the mean time (I'm typing this from my Wii using a USB keyboard and the unfamiliarity of the key spacing is jarring), I'll need something to keep me occupied, so I'm opening up Homestuck sketch requests in the mean time. If you're not a big fan of homestuck, I can probably work something out for you as long as I know you well enough. Just shoot me a note with your request; I'll make a quick note of it on paper when I see it and get to drawing it when I can. All the sketches will be uploaded when I get back up and running. So at the moment we're only halfway into May, but I'm already starting to feel the effects of hay fever. June 22nd (fondly known as Hay Day among sufferers) is little over a month away, so it shouldn't really be a surprise, though the effects seem stronger than they usually are for this time of year. I can't even count the number of times I've sneezed or had to rub my irritated right eye in the past few days, and it's driving me absolutely nuts.

I've always been hit hard by hay fever, every year without fail; I can recall many a day at primary school spent sniffing and sobbing because of feeling absolutely horrible. The antihistamines I've tried (which is about three different ones) don't seem to have much affect on me, so I'm probably going to need to get a new prescription soon.

Unfortunately, in tandem with hay fever arrives the exam season, and while I'm not really too bothered about the papers themselves, I can't help but be paranoid that my inevitable deteriorated condition will have an affect on my performance - and that my frequent sniffing will distract those around me. There's really no avoiding exams, and I'm perfectly happy to take them. And I don't doubt I'll do pretty well seeing as how I've coped well with summer exams previously. So it shouldn't be too difficult for me.

However, if my hay fever's as bad as I predict it will be over the next couple of months, I'll need to get a medical certificate should I wish to be moved to a different location to take my exams (I really don't want to be in a room where I'll have people glaring at me for sniffing and sneezing all the time). If my school staff is considerate as they claim to be, I shouldn't have too much trouble getting arrangements to suit my needs, but I'm still dreading how my hay fever could affect my mental capacity.

So in precisely one month, on the 14th of June, it'll be my 16th birthday. I just thought I'd let you all know in advance so I'm not just jumping it on you in the last minute - or however that saying is supposed to go. I'm still not completely sure what I'm going to do for it, but I'm hoping I can have a sleepover with a few close friends to celebrate. And of course, I'll be online at some point during the day. Personally, I'm not really a party person, so I'm happy with just being a hermit. And maybe going out for a meal at one of my favourite restaurants. It depends how things go, but we'll see, we'll see~
